Community

Musaic is committed to supporting our Bay Area community through benefit performances, collaborative musical and educational ventures.

In the past few years Musaic has been shifting its focus from self-produced Spring and Holiday concerts to performing benefit concerts, and participating as guest artists and collaborative musical experiences around the Bay Area. We have been repeat guests at Unity in Marin's Sunday music programs, St Timothy's Episcopal Church Community Concert Series in Danville, Unitarian Universalists of San Mateo Music Series, and The Sequoias music program in Portola Valley where we were video taped and broadcast live to hundreds of residents at numerous senior care facilities. We have also performed three successful concerts benefiting the San Francisco Curry Senior Center, providing health- and social-services for seniors in the tenderloin, and at SOMARTS Gallery for the opening of an international art exhibit - resulting in our first YouTube video. And we have been fortunate to sing music written by talented local composers, some of them début performances.

As we grow, we find our increasing regular costs such as rehearsal space and music acquisition have us looking to increase our base of donations, apply for grants, and solicit corporate sponsorships. To support these efforts, we are proud to have formed a Foundational board of some notable local friends:

  • Chip Conley, CEO, Joie de Vivre Hospitality
  • Carol Neblett, International Soprano
  • Frances S. Petrocelli, Assistant Chancellor Emeritus, UCSF
  • Charles B. Wilson, MD, DSc, MSHA, Founding Director, The Brain Tumor Research Center

We need your help! For ideas about community partnerships, new and commissioned music to perform, and donations of financial support, professional skills and volunteers, please call Musaic at (415) 552-6804, or email our business manager at to become part of our intimate musical family and share in the magnificent artistry of men's a cappella singing.
